EC Brush - new crankshaft deburring machine

Before crankshafts are finished, careful deburring is a must. In most cases, this is done with the help of a robot that guides the workpieces to a tool console. The programming is extensive, the robot must be taught anew for each workpiece variant.
The EC Brush deburring machine from KADIA is an easy-to-use, cost-effective standard solution. It impresses with high productivity and low support and maintenance costs. The machine has five programmable axes and is flexibly designed so that it can process 3 to 6-cylinder crankshafts in any number of variants and alternately. An inclined bed construction makes the EC Brush an extremely compact machine with a space requirement of only 2.6 m x 2.3 m.
A brush with abrasive nylon fibers reliably removes loose particles, burrs and the like from the workpiece. The cross-section of the brush is adapted to the design of crankshafts. Long or short fibers are always in use, so that each main or connecting rod bearing is optimally reached. The main time for this process is about 20 sec. Including loading and unloading, cycle times of 30 sec are possible.
Various fiber types are available for process adaptation. Wet machining is also possible if the workpiece is to be rinsed. Of course, the EC Brush can also accommodate other comparable workpieces, such as camshafts. Click here for more information.

XC Honing Tools – Two-piece precision tools

The XC honing tools from KADIA are based on a two-piece construction consisting of tool holder and tool body - C therefore stands for "Combined". Match honing, the ultimate challenge in honing, is used whenever an exact match between piston and bore is required.
